Juvenile Delinquency Crime & Deviance Class
This past summer Professor Nicholas Corrette chose D. Waters’ I Slept Through the American Dream autobiography as a course text book. The students were future parole officers, probation offices, as well as FBI agents. The class was a study of the criminal mind, and D. Waters spoke about his newly released book.
It went so well, that there are plans of using the book in the fall in another Sociology class with the idea of teaching through personal experience.
His opening statement to these future law officials was “Ain’t no fun when the rabbits got the gun.”
